I started reading the manga after watching the anime, mainly to see what the anime left out of the story. I bought 10 volumes as a set, so even though I would have given up earlier, I read all 10 (212 chapters) before giving up.
The story starts out interesting as the MC is transported to another world and wants to be a farmer. He's blessed with perfect health, the ability to get along with everyone, and the almighty farming tool. He makes friends with pretty much every creature/race that comes to his home. As more characters come and stay, it turns into a village, then
...
multiple villages as more and more arrive. And, for whatever reason, the arrivals are almost exclusively female. He's the only adult male so he has a different female share his bed every night as they are looking to rebuild their populations (but it's never shown). There are other males, but they are either too young or not compatible with humans, elves, or several of the other races that have taken up residence.
As time goes on, he introduces more and more Japanese food items and Earth technology into this new world as well as Earth sports and games.
The reason I give this mixed review and have dropped it is the author has simply run out of ideas. He introduced sports that then become annual events. More species arrive and get their own villages. Spring planting, summer tend the fields, fall harvest, winter hunker down. Rinse, repeat ad nauseam. Toss in the occasional pregnancy/birth cycle and you have the last 100 or so chapters I made it through.
