"The Great Escape"

After what seemed like a victory for the crew of the Reinforce Junior, they run into some trouble. Its a bit bitter sweet. Oliver and Marbet tie the knot, but its while they're imprisoned and after the death of so many fellow pilots. Those horrible tire-like mobile armor attachments make an appearance. And I'm sorry, but it look completely ridiculous watching them crush buildings and firing lasers from these things. An important note though, is that Katejina seems to be a talented, though twisted, pilot. She manages to capture Uso and impress her seniors. What's gonna happen to him now. From the previews there looks to be lots of nudity and comedy. *sigh*

Lol yeah the new mobile suits were ridiculous but badass! Watching them wrecking havoc on land was pretty coool but I don't get it how can they move in space :S

But honestly, this Gundam series is the weakest I've seen so far, even I enjoyed ZZ better.

Lol those things were ridiculous, I still can't see the meaning of having a tire in outer space.

And I enjoyed Uso's jealousy, kinda a breather after the previous death.

That was cute how Uso was jealous of Oliver~
I'm not really surprised by Katejina's actions, she always had this attitude and now, siding with the enemy she is even more irritating.

Whoever came up with the design for these motoroads should either be shot or given a medal, I'm not sure which yet...

Uso is pissed with the marriage. His harem is getting smaller with chicks ether dieing or getting married. lol.

Btw Uso is the most incompetent Newtype i ever saw. Not just because he got himself defeated once again but in general through the whole show he loses body parts to the enemy or getting saved by others. How many Gundam spare parts to they have anyway? The guy is destroying them with extraordinary rate.
If it was like other Gundam shows that didn't have all those spare he would have lost from the first two battles.

I think he should get a medal. I thought those wheel thingies originated in Gantz (and was later even used in Men in Black 3) , but apparently I was wrong. They're kinda useless in space though.

At first I thought they would use them strictly for ground combat, but seeing them in space and midair combat was silly. I guess they got I-Field barrier or something on the sides so it helps them?

A wedding,a kiss and thoughts of having a baby all in a single episode...yup, Oliver currently got death flags all over him or maybe Marbet because chicks die all the time in Gundam...

And speaking of female deaths, I just want that traitorous bitch Katejina to die already. (Would been so much better if she was a double agent).

This is becoming more and more of a chore to watch each episode....if Uso can't let Katejina go, I don't think I'll ever finish this....it's like, how many more friends have to die before he ends up reconciling it in his head?

The wedding was a good news even as a decoy. Am I the only one who fought Marbeth and Oliver were a couple? (Uso's lines seem to mean he was romantically involved with all his subordinate s o-o)
Seeing Uso acting jealous was funny (at first).

The random lines blurted out by the newly wed couple in the middle of the battlefield were terrible. I guess no other way was found to hint at Oliver's death (who will certainly leave a future child with no father, unless Marbet is killed with it)

Now... the tires. As much as I can see some use for them on the ground, why bother with such things in space or aerial fights? I thought the flying saucers from Grendizer were invading a colony ! Only good thing: what seems to be a I-field on the wheel itself.
Lupe is a returning surprise, never thought she would get more scenes. And Katejina is incredibly good even if she trained most of her time off-screen. Looks like she is now fighting for the Queen's views, after love made her join Zanscare.. still can't kill people she knows, wonder how she will turn out.

3.5-/5 Still nice to have pauses between space battles. (especially when I have no idea where those battles are leading to)

@Sapewloth

Ohoh, annoyed by this and by Uso's (lack of) strategy? (sorry to hear it wear you down too) About his Newtype's "warrior level", it seems clear by now that he's behind his "tech-savy" predecessor (Amuro). But like you said, you have to factor his age in.
The pregnancy was unavoidable since one of the series apparent themes is motherhood. And as sad as it is, it was perfectly in line with the Ligue Militaire's way of spoiling ressources.

What is "ss"?

I'm sorry to say, but those Motorad... *puts on glasses* ...aren't rad at all.

Seriously though, who the hell in Tomino's team has such a massive boner for motorbikes that they would push so hard for its inclusion in the show? It's stupid and everybody knows it's stupid. Also Uso needs to stop getting his parts destroyed: isn't he a Newtype? How come he still can't pilot for shit so far into the show? Is it because he's only 11?

Anyway, Marbet and Oliver's marriage was kinda cute but the talks about a baby were cliché as fuck and frankly inappropriate given the situation. Marbet being a titular pilot and all, how the fuck are they supposed to deal with a potential pregnancy while they're still at war? Oh and Uso's jealousy was funny at first but grew annoying pretty fast. I know it's hard to lose your harem of grown women one after the other but that's not worth throwing a fit over, son.

Oh man, like the idiot I am I made the mistake of watching the preview, and it looks like the /ss/ undertones are getting turned up to fucking eleven.

Voluntarily coming to the prison camp is... not smart

Those flying tires reminded me of the same things in Star Wars Attack of The Clones lol. Did they borrow it from Gundam? xD

Connie decided to wear a mask during the attack for no reason

Oliver talking about Marbet bearing his child during the battle also for no reason

By the way, this episode had pretty wacky animation

Aaand I'm almost sure that the marriage is a death flag for both Oliver and Marbet

Terrible writting and animation on ep28 and ep29. Definitely felt like they skipped an episode between ep 27 and ep 28.

Uso literally forgot that Junko exploded in front of him and that he annihilated an entire fleet of people.

There is this scene where only the mouth of Uso is moving and even the dog was still lmao.

The Zanscare new suits were cool and Katejina is more entertaining to watch than Chronicle.
