| My first show of the summer to end, it’s been a really good time. This final episode was more setup than anything else, we did see the aftermath of the exam arc along with it tho and it had some interesting moments, like Toramaru learning the lesson “don’t meet your heroes” lol, and there was also Shinaya becoming mentally present again and wow he is way different than when Gaku was in control, but hey at least bro got paid lol, I hope it was worth the terrible wounds. But damn the bad guys got a hold of Mafuyu and Toramaru huh, I’m guessing that means the next time we see them they’ll be enemies again, but it’ll be interesting to see if they fit into Slur’s group or not, they already have a circus going on anyway, like Carolina Reaper and Club Jam lol, we got two more characters reminiscent of Jojo to go along with Kanaguri, who was also apparently with Slur, yeah that checks out. And we also got teased on the events of what I hope is a Season 2, Shin made it into school but Sakamoto had to enter another way, by becoming his hot wife lol, that’s gotta be weird, it makes me wonder how detailed Nagumo’s disguises are, down to the finest detail or is Sakamoto’s junk down there while looking like Aoi? I’m gonna try and not think about it too hard lol. And yeah that highlight reel after the ED tells me we are getting a Season 2, but they just haven’t announced it yet because this episode hasn’t aired on TV yet, here’s to hoping it’s true because I’d hate for our SakaDays adventures to end here, it wasn’t a satisfying place to end on after all. And that was Part 2 of Sakamoto Days, I’m not really of the mind that this cour was a huge step above the first like some are saying, but I did really enjoy it just like the first, I think the story beats were a bit better and of course the animation on the fights was improved, but yeah my enjoyment was around the same as cour 1. Now there are some issues I wanna mention, like I think the Death Row Inmates arc coulda been a bit better, I get they were a distraction but for how hyped up they were, yeah it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be, however the Slur and Gaku infiltration on the JAA afterward was excellent, no complaints there. I also want to point out that as good as the exam arc was, it is a shame it phased out the whole cast besides Shin and Sakamoto, I was definitely missing Lu a good bit, but at the same time I did enjoy all the new characters, and the best fight of the season imo was in this arc, being the Shinaya/Gaku fight, so it’s a small issue. As for the OP and ED, comparing them to the first pair, I’d say OP1>OP2 (although I do like this one a lot too), and the EDs are tied, I really love them both. And with that, here’s to hoping we are indeed getting a Season 2 announcement, I’m thinking it’s very likely. |
| Spectacular finale that didn’t really feel like a finale. I was super excited for female Tarō, but I guess we won’t be seeing her anytime soon. I got so hyped when I saw the post-credit scene, only to be let down by the lack of a ‘see you in season 3’ or something like that. I honestly have no idea if there’s even a possibility for a third season, since the studio had only confirmed two seasons prior to the anime’s prologue. Therefore, they didn’t even evaluate the performance of the seasons to see whether they were profitable or not. Nevertheless, I really hope these two seasons were profitable as heck. And I’ll say it again, the hate for this anime is super duper forced. If you want to change my mind, go ahead, I’ll debate you, but that’s how I feel. So I pray from the bottom of my heart for a third season, and I'll stay tuned until then. |

If I had to guess, that wasn't possible because the JCC would have done their research to figure out that was a fake name, hence why Taro didn't try using an alias to begin with. The reason he's able to disguise as Aoi is because he looks like her and she's a real person, she everything would check out.
Lu isn't really into the assassin life, but more involved in the mafia life, which is why she only gets involved when one of the Sakamotos is in danger (their fight with Saw).
It is concerning that neither Nao or Mafuyu were around, and I'm guessing that if they refused the job offer, Kashima planned to have them killed.

| wow they adapted even further than i anticpated, i thought it would end at chapter 73, but they went and covered the start of the next arc. felt like they really tried to move quick, idk if that's a good idea or not. preview at the end all but confirms a continuation in the future, and it will start will the highway fight since they even put the nagumo and shishiba scene in there, the hype for one of the goats being introduced is high. carolina reaper's color scheme looks a bit different than what i imagined. aoi disguise on sakamoto looks great lmao even nagumo knows. shinaya got the bag luckily, though mafuyu and toramaru got pulled into slur's gang. also, the worst sakamoto days character; club jam got introduced lmao. he's the only character i actually dislike in the whole manga. great cour overall and best sequel of the season, even despite the limited animation, thanks to the content. hopefully next season improves even further, since sakadays just keeps getting better. |

| And so we end with the exam results, abductions and the start of the JCC infiltration arc. So full disclosure when I saw this was gonna be a split cour I decided to wait and watch this show weekly over the last two seasons instead of taking a 3 month break in between. In preparation for that I bought and read the first ten volumes of the manga which as it turns out end more or less where this adaptation did. A little further into JCC, but not much. And as an adaptation I thought this first season was...fine. I saw a ton of animation criticism in the earlier episodes, and I guess I degree to an extent, but it never got bad enough to bother me. Honestly my biggest problem with Sakamoto Days in recent months has been some rather unappealing sounding future manga developments I was inadvertently spoiled on, but I'll say no more on that here. Would I watch a second anime adaptation as that post-credits sort of sizzle reel seemed to hint at? Sure, I don't plan on dropping my collection of the manga. That said, I'm not really in a rush to continue it either lol. 7/10 |

That's a fair question considering that Taro didn't try going into the JCC Transfer Exam with a fake name, but I assume that similar to how in the U.S. we have social security numbers to identify citizens (and I'm assuming Japan has something similar), that simply looking like Aoi is enough and the JCC won't bother doing further testing.

| SEASON 1 HAS CONCLUDED!!! Honestly such a mixed bag adaptation wise. Obviously my experience as a manga reader is going to be different from anime only's (who largely seem to love this anime) so I will, on occasion, be a bit more nitpicky with production elements (action cuts, bad BGs, etc), but overall...? I really liked Season 1 :D Because regardless of any issues I had with the look of the show, it was always such a blast to watch!! I'd go into basically every episode expecting to hate it but I always came out the other side smiling. Maybe I just really like the IP?? maybe but its also cuz the scenarios, jokes and bits are adapted pretty well so while I might not like the action bits very much (cour 2 did have some really good cuts I cant lie) the comedy always landed for me. That's not to mention the excellent soundtrack always making every scene better, that's one aspect of the show I have zero qualms against (the voice acting is great too ig) Now that teaser... whooo that was hype (has any anime ever done that btw?? straight up have a trailer for its second season at the end of the first?? XD), hopefully they announce S2 soon and the production should start as well. I'm REALLY looking forward to season 2 thats where all my fav stuff happens! and seeing how cour 2 was already such an upgrade over cour 1, I believe TMS can deliver a great season in the future (fingers crossed...) 8/10 Can't wait for more!! |

| Did Sakamoto seriously apply under his own name?!? WHAT??? Of course a solution to this problem has to Deus Ex Machina it's way into the picture at the last second... Also, nothing says "recruitment" like a good old fashioned kidnapping. All that work just to kidnap 2 people into "service" as opposed to just recruiting more people via online ads... I mean, if they can easily infiltrate the JCC to wipe this data and exfiltrate recruits from the exam why even bother doing that when they can just kidnap actual students that have already passed the exam with good grades? Why did Uda even need to be an "undercover spy" there in the first place if they've already infiltrated the organization so thoroughly??? JFC man I swear this writing is trying to give me an aneurism... I'm out. The production is nowhere near worth hanging around with so much shit writing this early in a series. |
| So this season is over and while I can safely say that this series isn't nearly as good as some people have sold it to me, in this part I could see some of that potential. Whenever the series didn't focus on mundane slice of life interactions or unfunny humor with lots of characters that showed little to no interest in being there, it displayed growth in characters like Shin, Mayufu and Tonamaru, just to name a few examples. The very last few episodes showed some really good fights with actual tension and use of the environment. They were well animated as well so the focus on them was the right call to leave this arc on a high note. That being said, there's a lot of wasted potential with some of the other remaining side characters like Lu who barely got any screen time. The anime is gonna continue so maybe with this boost it can start doing better, more so with Akira having some instincts and base power but I'm gonna hold my breath on it. Hopefully it's good. |

| To be honest, for some reason, I liked this season less than previous. Too much shounen, I guess. Not gonna lie tho, episode 5 was insanely good. 6/10 for s2 and 7/10 for s1. |

Gaku being the most normal is crazy lol Love seeing Shishiba and Osaragi again, I love them! I love The Order, hope to see way more of them in the future. Please send season 2 as soon as possible! |

| This was better than the first seaso totally, It was carried more by the plot and characters than the animation imo. Seems like this season was just a warm up and the actual storylines starts next season haha. I might read the manga if the second season takes too long but we'll see. It was a 7.5/10 but since I cant rate that there I'll give it an 8. |

| A big step-up in this cour. It was way more enjoyable and got really interesting all the way through. Our two friends got abducted by Slur gang, and I wonder if they're gonna be our enemies in the future? Sakamoto is infiltrating the campus in his wife's look as a teacher in order to gain the Bank Data on Slur, thanks to Nagumo. I'm looking forward to the next season and I hope they elevate the production values a bit. |
