| Not quite as good as previous chapters but then again sports anime aren't particularly great to begin with O_o "An idiot's thinking is just like taking a break" was genius though XD |

| Oh god, this was seriously one of the funniest episodes of any anime I've seen. The humor came fast and furious, the wordplay was great, the jokes were awesome. So funny and wacky. |

| "Excel Saga" is a delightfully weird and funny series, and I have enjoyed every episode so far. I just finished watching this one and had to leave a comment. I have never been a sports fan, and my reaction to different sports ranges from boredom to virulent hatred. Bowling falls closer to the boring end of that scale. I can't quite bring myself to hate the sport because it isn't usually violent (my true hatred is reserved for violent sports such as hockey and American football), and it is rather un-cool, which for me is a positive attribute. I actually used to go bowling occasionally when I was a child, but I never could quite see the point of it. This episode is a fantastic parody of sports in general. It takes a sport that is often seen as dull and un-cool, and manages to make it exciting while poking fun at the un-coolness of it. While watching it, I couldn't stop laughing. So many people take sports so seriously that I think they need to be satirized, and this episode satirizes sports mania beautifully. I can't think of a better way to satirize sports than to take one that inspires very little passion among the general public and depict a bunch of fanatics taking the sport to ridiculous extremes. I hope fanatics devoted to "popular" sports can watch this episode and find the humor in their own situations. I look forward to watching the rest of this series; I can't wait to see the weirdness that emerges from the warped minds of its creators. |

| I was waiting for a sports themed episode and wow, it definitely delivered. Can't decide on a best moment, but overall my favorite episode as of now xD Ok, Excel dropping the bowling balls looked really hilarious |

| Lol the opening playing by the imposters excel and hyatt while excel was bowling, the sudden 3D change in one scene and the ball puns. Man this episode was great. |

| - The manga author looks so goofy, especially with his armpit hair sticking out. He's kind of admirable in a weird way not gonna lie. - Y'know, Hyatt-chan is pretty smart and wise for answering Il Palazzo's question so excellently. She's a good foil to Excel in this way, I suppose. - I just know that this came at no surprise to anyone. - I don't know why, but these two kind of remind me of Jesse and James from Pokemon. They are pretty funny and super in sync with each other. - Excel Kobayashi seems to have a similar personality to the real Excel, lol. Hyatt not so much though. - Hey, these knockoffs are pretty funny though. - This took me off guard. I like it. It kind of reminds me of the real-life scenes in Lucky Star even though that came out like a decade later. - Why does that guy in the background look like Caillou? Is it just me or does he really bear a strong resemblance? - Is it just me or is this kind of a homoerotic line? Come to think of it this whole bowling segment is feeling a little homoerotic. - Damn, even Hyatt is pointing to Excel. She's your senpai! Why are you ratting her out here?! - This has gotta be the best use of an eyecatcher I have ever seen in an anime. - Nabeshin is such a goofy goober. Dude just drew himself into the anime shitting on a toilet. Mega respect. - All these girls look so cute in the bowling outfits. They look so happy. - Damn, how does her foot fit in that bowling ball? Maybe she kicked a hole in it. The Excel Kick is pretty strong, indeed. - This is such a beautiful line. It's lowkey so true. - Good riddance to those 3 ronins not being in the episode again. They suckkkk. |
