| Wow, that was some start. Where have I landed myself xD? I've been meaning to watch this for a while and with the Season 5 re-airing, what better time than now amirite? Op and ED song are top-tier and I've heard them before as well. Visuals are a little ecchi-based but within my expectations so no biggies. Some tentacle action, really sets the bar real high from the start xD. Soma seems dedicated to the Restaurant so I figured the father would pull off something of that sort. I wonder who this friend he's referring to though, something tells me he/she is a VIP in the Cooking world here and possibly one of the higher-ups of the school. Welp, whatever the case, count me in. Having just orange juice in hand to sate certainly isn't going to cut it, harsh reality... I haven't had much experience with watching cooking anime, the last being Isekai Shokodou if I'm not wrong, so I'm looking forward to checking out a new realm of the industry, I suppose. |

| Watching the first season of Shokugeki no Soma! for a 6th time where the first 5 times were all in my first 6 months of anime 4 years ago, so it's been a while. And considering how badly the series has fallen apart in anime and manga forms from 2017 till now, I'm amazed that I love the premiere episode more than I did back in the day. This was such a fun premiere in so many ways, and an awesome introduction to this series. I miss when the franchise was this awesome to experience. |

| Food Wars never change. You are perfect as campy, outrageous, and unapologetic, just as you are. And I'm so happy with this adaptation. The script and directing is snappy and crams so much characterisation in just a few scenes |
