| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Another intense episode. Leon once again finds himself with trouble against horrors as not even kids are safe at all from the dangers that awaits them. I do have to say that Leon faces quite a predicament this episode though as his opponent is a lot stronger than he seems to be. Really curious to see what other type of beasts/horrors are present in this show though. Werewolves seems to be another species as well. Lol, that last scene this episode is freaking priceless. |

| Well I enjoyed this episode for sure and I actually thought it had moments of legitimate creepiness... Seriously, true horror... Rare in anime. I felt like this was not one of the better episodes though... at least compared to the others... Art/Animation: While I enjoyed the design of the werewolf horror(Pepe), I didn't like it quite as much as the other horrors we've seen, mostly because it wasn't really scary... The priest guys design was so creepy though, those eyes... The fight choreography was very well done this week, as usual though maybe not as action packed as some other episodes. Music: I will say it again, the music in this freaking anime is fantastic. It built so much creepy atmosphere and the songs were legitimately well done. It helped make the episode atmospheric. The voice acting once again is good as well. Story+Characters: There was some character building and plot progression in the episode but not enough for me to not call it monster of the week formula... I hope the overall pacing of the show speeds up because I would really like to see some more progression in the plot rather than focusing on these little short stories every week... Still, not bad, I enjoy them, just not what I hoped for. The beginning of the "Pepe" part felt a bit clunky, I was confused as to what was going on, luckily they do explain it later in the episode but it still made me confused for the time it wasn't. When the revelation and twists of the episode came about, I enjoyed the episode much more. It built the world further and showed the corruption of the church and how this brutal world only adds fuel to the horrors that take over their victims. The comedy was pretty good, I especially liked where the kids got scared of Leon because his armor looks like a wolf head. lol Overall, I enjoyed the episode.. maybe not as much as the others but it certainly wasn't anything bad. Good fights, good art, good atmosphere and some decent character and world building. |
| Another great episode, at the werewolf scene I was actually thinking that Leon must have hit his head really hard and all dreamed that, seems I wrong. I feel sad he got owned like it was nothing by that Black Knight thought, and now even his father says he won't lend his strenght the way he is now. That's mean, then train him or something >3>... This anime is so unique, so intene and so brutal, I realy love it. Seems next ep Herman is finding a way to get clothes lol. |

| The werewolves part was interesting! Leon temporary losing his memory from some medicine and was in a dream! He getting to live another person's life before waking up. It was interesting how they implemented other beings into the anime! Herman being naked at the end xD The Dark Knight beating Leon :/ |

| The worst episode so far and the first not so well written one. I really hope that it was for the sake of saving money for the second half of the season, but the preview doesn't give me much hope. They really, really need to progress the main plot. No matter how little content the main story has, they could've used the prince subplot. And while I like German's easygoing character, I am not in for nudity jokes with him starring again. Developments of father-son relationship, Alfonso's story, insights into the politics of the capital, queen's fate, status of makai knights in the kingdom are welcome and expected instead. Question for those familiar with the franchise: What did German mean, when he said that he wouldn't lend his strength to Leon? Is this a knight hierarchy thing? But then doesn't he has the same goals as his son? I've liked this show so far almost without any complaints, but this time I have a few of them. As far as animation goes, CG became much better, but silly jumping gets on my nerves. Regarding the plot, I must say that the whole episode was unnecessary. Peaceful dream plot twist doesn't suit Leon too well. He is young and eager, not tired and tortured. And drugging a random makai knight boy doesn't seem too good of an idea (btw, can't they recognise him because of the ring?) The episode was a bit exessive, since it explored the same things that the last one - how good people can fall to corruption. And it seems that people can become horrors randomly in their world. The blacksmith was in touch with the sword, that couldve been tainted in the castle, but here the boy changed seemingly on his own. Also I start to worry a bit that the show uses the usual dark fantasy tropes. Peasants are treacherous and greedy, church is corrupt with no exceptions (*si-iigh*), protags are good and sophisticated, but hated and misunderstood. It would've been great, if, for example, Leon had been picked up by normal people, but had brought them problems, which he very well can do - he is a chased outlaw. |

| Ok episode. A little bit confusing at the start but I think it pulled together in the end. Quite looking forward to seeing a bit more of Herman next week, my favourite character in this series. |

| Another good episode, Leon comes across a stronger opponent loses and then end up in a location and engages in more trouble, damn unlucky I do not think Emma really tries to help him, it seems like she is always trying to have fun at the expense of him .. |

| random ass scenario after the black knight fight For some reason German isn't there when the soldiers storm the inn and the black knight fight. For some reason there's a rumor that the prince is with a middle aged man, and it's reached a place where that they haven't been together. How do German and Leon have mountains of money to use? 2/5 |

| I'm still not sure how i feel about the show. Leon is really to fucking hot headed. Maybe I like the live action a lot more. I really wish Zabura would help him out and talk to him like in the live action. |
| They really didn't have the time for this slave kids story in the episode after the fight with he black knight so it felt like a rushed thing that got solved in minutes. Stories like that are based on mystery and slowing discovering the truth but there was no way he could slowly discover anything with so little time. So they went with "OMG touched my sword, i remember everything, all other crazy shit was just a drug now lets kill this weeks horror" in a minute. |

| I really like that scene near the end when the kids thought Leon was a werewolf. The whole town is afraid of werewolves it seems and it looks like a Makai knight (who wear armour with a wolf head) may have wronged them in the past. We probably will never find out, but the subtleties are interesting. There's a whole lot more to say about the episode, but this particular scene was great. |
| 4/5 That the whole episode would be more interesting if the second part of the narrative would run a little better events. The story was engaging almost all the time, clashes were well made. The drawings except those of the werewolf was well done. 3DCG and animations, a good standard. It seems as if the Makai Knights, now snack like mushrooms! LOL |

| This episode was pretty bad in pretty much every single way. Tons of scenes were unintentionally hilarious, the narrative was all over the place with terribly paced sequences and story-telling, the animation looked particularly worse than usual, the fights were some of the least intense in the series so far, the dialogue was bland and even annoying at times. The "new" characters were boring and so was the "villain". This mini-story itself seemed kind of interesting but it was so badly executed I couldn't enjoy it at all. It seems like the writer had an idea for a short story to include at some point in the series but it was so detached from the main story that this was the best way the director found to include it. It bears no meaning, no importance and worst of all - no entertainment or intensity. Quite strange. I thought the series had been alright up until this episode but this was messy as hell. If 8 isn't significantly better I'll stop wasting my time for sure. |

| It was okay.. not a good episode. I wonder why they finish the fight scenes so quickly.. the ost that was playing in those scenes were good too but sadly they are rushing up the fight scenes.. Still, there is no sign of Zaruba at all |
| Herman steals the show even if his screen time is of about 5 minutes this episode. Gotta say, this show is living up to the hype so far. Great action, characters are interesting and surprisingly relatable. |
| Episode was good, then took a left into crazy-ville after the battle with Bernardo. It just felt like some loosely connected ideas slapped into one episode. Suddenly werewolves, amnesia and a Pied Piper that nobody seems to mind having lure kids away and have them never come back who gets killed in a couple of seconds. I have no idea why any of that had to happen. Maybe the show will refer to the werewolf thing later? I hope not since it was doing just fine without such a random sub-plot. Also the animation was pretty off too. |

| I like this show so far, but wow this episode sucked. The beginning was fine with the fight against the dark knight since it's a continuation of the previous episode, but then it just clumsily shoehorns this random sub plot about werewolfs and a bunch of new one off characters that have nothing to do with anything and it was badly written too. Hope that doesn't happen again. |
