Winners of the 2025 Newtype Anime Awards were announced at the Machi★Asobi Vol.29 event on Sunday. Fans selected the winners from a list of eligible titles through magazine and online polls. | Makeine and Apocalypse Hotel winning Best Picture. Awesome stuff. If you haven't watched Makeine, please do so now. It's one of the best-executed and most fun rom-coms in ages. I assume even more people haven't watched Apocalypse Hotel, so please go watch that as well. It offers an introspective viewing experience that I don't think any other anime replicates. |
