If you told me there was a manga that combined nuns with guns killing off vampires all for the sake of the Christian church, while also maintaining a relationship with a half-bred. I would be a bit surprised by that weirdly odd specific statement but hey, this is that.

A true oddity, I only was curious to read this because I checked out the author's previous work which was "My Girlfriend is 8 Meters tall" (Which is Very Cliché but I like it). I had no real expectations going into this but honestly, it was a surprisingly pretty decent storyline but ends off just when it ... felt like it was going to go somewhere unique.

I think I need to get this off the bat if it wasn't already kind of obvious from the cover, this goes over same-sex relationships (which isn't a bad thing at all mind you) but I know some people don't like it as much. But still...I felt like they handled the storylines pretty well from our main characters to even our side characters. The only problem is, due to the manga being incredibly short. A lot focuses on Dorothy and Maria (our main characters) but when you see a event happen to a side character, you barely felt invested. The problem is the side characters get BARELY any screen time. Shannon isn't even a protagonist until the second-half, so thank god she got some time in the spotlight. But for a vast majority of other side characters, you might see them be important and maybe 1 scene...per volume and honestly...you don't get NEARLY enough motivation to care. It's just my opinion in that matter.

Storywise, its fine. It's your typical action dynamic. Kill vampires, investigate a crime scene, come back to HQ, find out its part of a grander conspiracy. Look if your hoping for EARTH shattering development, it's 21 chapters. Your not going to get that but its a fine storyline through and through. It's gets the job done and I read this quite slowly in order to appreciate as much of it as I could. The book usually is more based on showing a LOT more fan-service than plot. Which is fine, these volumes isn't trying to break boundaries it knows its limitations and that's fine. I think it sits at a good 7 in my mind in that instance. Compared to Gahi-Chan (I read through a few months back), this has more plot than...a single storyline concluding in the very chapter it was introduced at. But it tends to usually only hint at a larger storyline which is interrupted by a lot of Unneeded exposition.

Overall, I think its good. I enjoyed my time reading it and I don't regret it. However, I don't know if many people would re-read through it, as it seems like something you would read through once and forget that you own. But hey, I give it a solid C+, if you want a short manga series to at least try. give it a shot!
