"to make a better society, start with making a better human, which it starts in a better family"
Stardust family is an interesting story about connection and emotions. Not necessarily a tear-jerker but it does give you a nice weep along the way.
i'm loving the issue they addressed in this story. to summary the plot:
it's a story where couples/adults in general need a parenting license for having & raising children. to get the license, there's an organization maintain by the government where 'child agent' become a temporary family member to inspect their household and judge whether they have the capacity to provide what a child might
...
need.
As someone who lived in overpopulated country, where adults are barely ever consider whatever the needs to raise children, this story gives a very interesting system that what it might needs lmao
but the story not specifically emphasize that issue. Even with such utopian system, there still hole because human could never become a perfect being. but sometimes, those imperfect parts are what makes it beautiful yet also sad.
the sample case for the main plot itself are pretty basic, where most of the household tried their best so they could get an 'OK' from the inspector, yet this certain odd couple tried to make sure they failed the inspection.
However, it's not as simple as that. The author manages to write it beautifully and keep the mystery part enjoyable to unfold, though it's still going on a predictable path.
but the point is not to make the story twisted and give you a shook, it did a magnificent job to make me empathize with the characters. it gives you simple values that you could relate in your own environment.
so in conclusion;
it is a very heartwarming short story, and i highly recommend it!
