Synopsis

It all starts with a steamy exchange of sexually charged looks. Average teen boy Ikezawa can't help noticing Eguchi's tight top, and when he comments on it, she quips right back that his plunging neckline accentuates his toned chest! From then on, Eguchi tells Ikezawa every single hot thing she notices about him. Ikezawa can't help feeling flustered by her attention and even starts showing off for her. With chaotic flirtation in full force, what are these two smitten seatmates going to do but play even more to each other's gazes?

Tonari no Seki no Yatsu ga Souiu Me de Mitekuru, originally released under the title Tonari no Seki no Yatsu ga Eroi me de Mitekuru Hanashi (隣の席の奴がエロい目で見てくる話), began as a web manga released on the author's Twitter and pixiv accounts since March 29, 2024. Official serialization started in Sunday Webry on June 17, 2024.

The series has been published in English as a simulpub as The Mortifying Ordeal of Being Seen by VIZ Media through VIZ Manga. The volumes have also been published by VIZ Media since April 14, 2026.

"I'm not gay, but the male lead is kinda cute... and hot."

Quit joking around, this manga is perversely cute. The art, the interactions between the two leads, their expressions… it all just works. If you’re looking for something wholesome, cute (and yes, perverse), this one is a solid recommendation from me.

If you dislike slow burns then please leave, every attempt at progression for the past almost 100 chapters has been romantic but at the same it turns back to comedy. It really defines romcom as in it starts at romance and goes back to comedy and the progress is 0.0001% increased…
