Although the concept is presented differently, the characters and theme are essentially the same, but Sakurasou delves deeper into certain realities and difficulties of life. (Mayoi Neko Overrun, while more light-hearted and focusing on comedy, still had some very good episodes.) (Frankly, after watching Mayoi Neko Overrun, I thought Sakurasou was a great copy.) And In terms of character similarities, Mashiro and Nozomi are kuudere character types who are associated with cats within the framework of their individual problems. The supporting cast is also quite similar; in both series, there are tsundere characters who compete with the kuuderes in their relationships with the MC (even though Aoyama and Fumino aren't that similar). Finally, both series feature otaku characters. ( They are actually completely different characters, but when you look at the integrity of the cast, it's normal.)

Both series consist of the quiet daily lives of a few groups of friends, but Potemayo has a particularly melancholic atmosphere, while Acchi Kocchi has a soft romantic tone. And both mc's wear glasses & have calm personalities ( and they also carry cute things with them. )
