Unrealized potential.

If I were to pick one phrase to describe this manga, that would be it.

My Girlfriend Gives me Goosebumps starts out with a strong hook - a horror-genre loving boy not only accepts his yandere stalker, but is actually quite pleased by the thrill of her stalking behaviour. At a base level not a completely unique idea, but unique enough that the initial setup and first few chapters really grabbed me.

Unfortunately, by just a few chapters in, things started to fall flat. With the main character being too okay with his girlfriend's yandere behaviour, and the author being unwilling to escalate it even further, ...

The first time ever I felt I was going to give a manga a 10/10 from the very first chapter.

Yandere love interests have appeared many times in manga, but are always treated like dirt. Always the butt of jokes, coming in last, put in their place by the normies and end up sad and defeated, while the beta MC runs and flees from her sight at all times.

In Henai Heartbeats first chapter, our MC is told by an acquaintance that the girl who keeps following him and bumping into him is an obsessed stalker who doesn't take no for an answer. The actual Gigachad MC ...

Preliminary (24/27 chp)
First of all I wanna say that I have never read a "Yandere manga" before so this is my first time reading one. Initially I thought it had a pretty interesting premise, I mean everyone who's normal would be freaked out if they found out that there is a yandere that is overly obsessed with you and stalks you. But this was not the case with the protagonist of this manga, he rather sees it more of a "thrill" and even went to date her.

This manga is addictive, even with how strange it is it's very addictive. Every chapter just always have something exciting going ...

I like female characters who are yanderes/obsessive, but I think it's especially good when the love is reciprocated. This one, like Koharu no Hibi, the love is reciprocated, but in this case, it's more interesting because, like FL, the MC has a twisted mind, too, making the relationship between the two very different and interesting. In short, the story involved me and hooked me throughout every chapter. For the ending, I was expecting and wanting something tragic, and I think that would fit better with the feeling the work conveys. However, it was still an acceptable ending that will probably please most people (but not ...

Mixed Feelings
I like the premise, but I don't like how it went. Objectively, I can see that some people would love this, but if you are like me who expect proper entertainment from crazy plot then you wouldn't like it, because nothing really happens here in this manga, despite the premise, it's like if you buy a cup of soda but you only get a few minutes of fizz and then you just taste melted ice afterwards.

I read this in one sitting, which is a rare thing to do for me, I absolutely adore yandere characters and I especially love it when it comes to stories ...

A surprisingly engaging high school romance with two of the most unique leads I've ever seen in the genre. The premise of an MC who loves his yandere stalker gf specifically because of her weird tendencies is pretty interesting, and I like the dynamic between Haruka and Kisaski. Moreover, the way that the two begin to change each other as their relationship evolves is pretty neat, and I like how it's not only addressed in universe, but is actually the driving force behind the second half of the story. Although I wouldn't call it a masterpiece by any means, this short series played with novel ...
