I watched 3-gatsu no Lion. I have to say it has great animation and yeah honestly I got bored in some parts but I always remember the ending where it explains why the mc wants to be the best in shogi and there is a train where he welcomes his next adversary and how can not forget the shogi song. That was cute af

Yeah. I can consider it one of shaft's best works. Have you watched its sequels. Eventough I watched the sequels I only watched until Owarimonogatari as I don't have much time nowadays but I will watch it eventually.

You've seen some really really good stuff!

I recommend the 1999 version of HXH to you, I think you'll enjoy it, it's a fairly deviating adaptation from the manga, but still a very good and I think a more nuanced telling of the story.
