There are 3 seasons in total (S2 2009 and S3 2013) S1 on it's own feels pretty complete and has amazing old school charm. So you would get a perfectly satisfying ending. And if you want more you could stiill watch the others seasons and read the manga.

I'd say about 30-40 recurring characters which appear more or less including characters featured frequently throughout the whole. But of course if you count all named characters who had a prominent role for one arc then it's easily close to 200.

YES!! The chapters are quite long and full of dialogues, but it's been interesting to follow.
I really liked their relationship too, it was a very compatible friendship. The ending was very cohesive, I was already suspicious of his classmate, but nothing that affected my experience. I hope it gets an adaptation someday, I think it would be a success.

It's okay, the end of the year is always busy. I'm also full of tasks, end of the semester at college :(

I totally understand, I read this book in my native language (Portuguese). It doesn't have very technical language, but I think it's better to read it in your native language to get the hidden ideas.

hey, how are you? Yesterday I read "About Death", I had seen it in your favorites and found it interesting to read. With simple art, the author managed to develop short stories full of melancholy and philosophy. It reminded me a lot of a book I read a while ago, which portrayed this issue of accepting death as another stage in life. The name of the book is "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes: And Other Lessons from the Crematory." In short, it's about a girl who worked in a crematorium and her experience of living with death on a daily basis.
