as a long term The Anime Man fan, its just so disappointing what has happened to Trash Taste, and im saying it as a fan who came to one of thr live shows. When the podcast started the tone was super relaxed and familiar, the small office gave that vibe too. Like three mates talking about anime. I think most fans felt like societal "outsiders" found kinship with the way TT was. Ever since TT connected more with big creators, and the boys started being in those circles, it's started feeling like they're flaunting status and wealth, deviating from the og humble roots. No more "underdog" energy, that felt like a quirky, genuine community, it just doesnt represent most anime fans anymore. Joey going from a niche anime creator to multi-platform entertainer is cool and all but feels super alienating. Wish we could get the OG Trash taste from 5 years ago when the guests were within the anime community and the boys didnt seem so emotionally distant
